Since that time, EA has released new commissioner tools and Mut 22 coins other improvements, including a major overhaul of its scouting system. Madden 22 also introduced an expanded scenario engine, in-season cutscenes, as well as coaching skill trees. But, fans continue point to various areas where franchise mode may be better compared to other games, from the overall lack of customization to the myriad of bugs.
While EA Sports wouldn't provide any more information, it is possible that additional enhancements are still on track for sometime next year. The updates could include the franchise relocation improvements promised in the initial plan in Madden 22. Expect more details in 2022.

Even though rumors suggest EA Sports has cancelled the rest of the franchise mode updates for Madden 22, the developer/publisher insists there are still two updates scheduled for the feature.
I contacted EA's representatives via email and I received the response below, that was sent to other publications.
"We don't like to discuss rumors or speculation; however, we're determined to continue to enhance Franchise as aspect of our Madden NFL 22 live service and buy Madden 22 coins beyond. This includes two coming Franchise updates that we'll deliver with Madden NFL 22. We'll be providing more details on the updates in the coming year."
